Winter break camp
The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium is offering special day camps for kids in K- 5th grade during winter break. Each day offers different themed sessions with fun, educational programs. Sessions run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will require students to bring a sack lunch.
- Morning session: 9 a.m.–noon
- Lunch: Noon-1 p.m.
- Afternoon session: 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
Cost
Members: $50 full day
Non- Members: $60 full day
Members must register and create a login password to receive the member discount. This can be done after selecting a camp by clicking on the links in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

From ringing in the New Year with polka dots and coins in the Philippines to celebrating the end of winter with exploding snowmen in Switzerland, we’ll learn about holiday celebrations from around the world. Passports not required.
Out of this World

3, 2, 1 BLAST OFF! Become an astronaut for the day as we uncover the mysteries of the night sky as we explore our position in the universe and discover what stars, moons, and planets really are. We’ll also look at the day in the life of an astronaut and what it’s like living on the International Space Station.
Frozen Magic

Chemistry experiments are awesome, but cold chemistry is really awesome! Come on down to the Museum & Aquarium for a fun filled afternoon of hands-on science experiments that will chill you to the bone. Dry ice, wet ice, cool air, and freezing treats are just a small piece of this amazing day.
Junior Keepers - Ambassador Animals

If you have been to the Museum & Aquarium before you may remember our Creature Features with our education animals. Come be junior keepers with us as we discover who our ambassador animals are and what it takes to care for them. We’ll also get the opportunity to make some fun enrichment for the ambassadors and meet some of them up close.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
Pre-registration is required for all Winter Break Day Camp classes and must be received on Dec. 16, 2024. A full refund or transfer will be granted if cancellations are received by that date. In the event that a session should be canceled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, you will be notified via email or phone by 7:30 a.m. on the day of the program. The River Museum will then reschedule your child for an upcoming session if possible or refund accordingly.
